Part of a mural painted in the Virgin Megastore flagship, Chicago (Michigan Ave.), the scene is a copy of Michelangelo’s Temptation of Adam and Eve, located in the Sistine Chapel, Rome, Italy. I was hired to paint this panel in the Classical Music Department. It is 10 feet high, and belongs in a panel that ultimately stretched 70 feet.

The scene depicts the Biblical story in Genesis of Adam and Eve being tempted by the evil serpent, enticed to eat an apple from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Michelangelo’s original painting showed the serpent as a FEMALE, which I didn’t like. So I altered it to look like a male gender.
